Universal Hood Scoops are mostly made out of Fiberglass and some Plastic & Carbon Fiber as noted below. Fiberglass & Carbon Fiber Hood Scoops should be bonded onto the hood with epoxy and preferably blended into the hood to give them one piece look. Prior to bonding it to the hood you may need to trim the edges of the scoop and fill in the gaps in order to make it conform to the shape of your hood. Most of the Fiberglass & Carbon Hood Soops already come with cut outs in them for air flow. Additional cut outs can be made where needed and the hood has to be cut also in order to draw air in. Painting of Fiberglass Hood Scoops is best done on the car where the entire hood is painted at the same time.

Universal Air Scoops are made out of Plastic or Fiberglass. The plastic ones can be glued onto the hood, the fenders or the quarter panels of the car utilizing either 2 way tape or epoxy. No need to blend them into the body panels. The fiberglass ones have to be bonded onto the body of the car and preferably also blended in to give them the one piece look. Air Scoops are sold in sets of 2 and are truly a universal accessory since they fit any car. These items can be made functional by cutting out openings into them and in the body panel in order to draw air in. The Plastic ones come in semi gloss black plastic finish which can be left as is or painted to match the color of the car. The Fiberglass ones have to be painted the color of the car.
